About This Product:

This pillow is made with care in Canada with Canadian fill. This is a 3-Chamber pillow, containing down and feather farmed by the Hutterites in the Canadian Prairies. The majority of the fill (about 90% of the total fill weight) is duck feather, which is in the center chamber. The feather core provides great, resilient support due to the feather quills. The outer chambers are filled with 700 loft duck down, which creates a soft buffer against the feather. Down Perfect™ pillows combine the support of feather with the softness of down for the best of both worlds! The outer shell of this pillow is soft 400 thread count cotton.

The Medium weight is a real crowd-pleaser, and works for front, back and side sleepers. It is firm enough for side sleeping but not so hefty that it props the head up too much for front and back sleeping. If you sleep only/primarily on your side or like a really firm and substantive pillow, go with the Firm version!

Care

This pillow should be used with a pillow case and a zippered pillow cover/protector at all times. Failure to do so will cause premature wear and invalidate the warranty. A properly covered pillow will help eliminate stains and the build up of body oils, dirt, and dust. This will also help allergy sufferers.

Take your down and feather pillow outdoors periodically and air it or place in the dryer on a low heat/cool cycle. This helps maintain its freshness, fluffiness and insulating qualities.

Prior to use, shake the pillow vigorously to help fluff up the down. It will take about 1 week of use before the outer fabric softens up and the down lofts up to its full potential.

There may be a slight odour as a result of having been stored in the packaging, but it will disappear within the first week of use.

This product should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated closet or room when not in use in order to prevent mildew growth.

Cleaning Instructions:

A properly maintained pillow should require cleaning approximately once a year, with normal use. It may be cleaned more or less often depending on use.
Your pillow is covered in 100% cotton and filled with natural down and feather. It will shrink if washed, possibly causing puckering in the stitching and loss of the filling.
Should your pillow need cleaning, have it DRY CLEANED or PROFESSIONALLY WASHED by a reputable cleaner that specializes in cleaning down and/or feather products.
DO NOT attempt to machine wash or dry clean this product yourself. If the filling stays even slightly damp, it will clump together and may allow mildew growth.
Small spots or stains may be removed by holding the fabric away from the filling and using warm water and mild soap. To dry, use a hair dryer on low heat.

I'm so curious about this, because I know the Down Perfect White Feather & Down Pillows worked well for you, and they have the same type of fill and same amount of fill. So they should feel basically the same! If you think there's some sort of defect with your Hutterite Down Perfect Pillow (like maybe it was underfilled), please let us know. Otherwise, we can add more fill to the pillow for you to make it more suitable. You can request this type of alteration on our website!

An amazing pillow! We have loved all Canadian Down & Feather duvets and pillows in the past, and this order did not disappoint! As a side sleeper, I decided to try the firm pillow this time, as we had purchased the medium pillow in the past. Since we use King Sized pillows, I hoped the firm option would give us more support. It is absolutely perfect, as the name describes. We both slept much better the very first night, and will buy firm without hesitation in the future. Great structure and support while maintaining a fluffy, soft cradle for your head. Highly recommend!!!

Perfectly Firm Pillow Again

We have purchased 7 Hutterite Down Perfect Pillows over the past several years. I recently decided to switch from Medium to Firm since I always sleep on my side and I needed more support. Several weeks have passed and it is still perfect. In fact, I am so happy with mine that I ordered one for my husband. He is also a side sleeper and finds the firmness very supportive. Definitely 5 stars. The pillow is shipped very well packed and the carrier supplies very accurate tracking information. This company also follows up with an email after you receive your pillow to make sure you are happy with your purchase. I am always very impressed with their customer service. We are so happy with our new pillows and would definitely recommend this company and their products.

Perfectly Firm Pillow

I believe this is the 6th Hutterite Down Perfect pillow that I have purchased over the years. I have always ordered the Medium Queen but this time I wanted to have a bit more support so I ordered the Firm Queen. I did a chat and since I am always sleeping on my side now, they suggested I try the Firm for even more support. Thank you for this recommendation since you were absolutely right. This firm pillow perfectly supports my neck all night long. I keep my pillow in a good-quality pillow protector with a cotton pillowcase. I have never had an issue with any smells and I have never had a problem with any feathers poking through in any of the pillows I’ve had. I flip it every morning and I put it in the dryer on “air-dry” once a week to fluff it up. The customer service is amazing. You just have to tell them what your needs are and they will recommend the best pillow for you. The pillows are shipped very quickly with excellent tracking and are very well packed. And best of all, they are a Canadian company! I can’t see myself ever going anywhere else to try a new pillow. Never!
