For a side sleeper, this is it. This is what you have been looking for. It's soft but supportive. My only problem is the duck feathers have an unpleasant odor. Especially if you sleep hot and sweat into your pillow. I didn't know this before I purchased it. Luckily, the have a goose version.

The firmness was great and it’s definitely been good for my back/ neck as a side sleeper but I have to agree with a few of the other comments that it’s very common almost every night to feel a small pointy feather coming out of the surface of the pillow. Maybe it’s because I am using linen pillow cases which make it easier for the quill to poke through but I feel like for the money u pay for these pillows that shouldn’t be an issue. Then again I don’t know all that much or anything about pillows so I could be wrong.

For the longest time I used Pacific Coast feather pillows until I lost them on my recent vacation trip to Nova Scotia last week. I ordered a pair from Amazon but it’s not comparable to this pillow. This is a beautiful, well made quality pillow. Sturdy material and stitching and nicely filled. This pillow doesn’t flatten easily. I’m a side and tummy sleeper. This pillow supports my neck and shoulder properly. I’m extremely happy with this pillow.

I had immensely positive experience with the Goose down version of the pillow for many years, so I thought I will give this a try especially since it was also on sale. I really regret my decision because the feathers are a lot different and it won’t stop poking and coming out. I got the firm one and it feels not at par in quality compared to the similarly priced goose one that I have.
