This duvet is made with care in Canada with Canadian fill. The shell is 500 thread count cotton – soft and quiet. The shell is filled with 800 loft duck down farmed by Hutterites in Alberta, Canada. Down fill is soft and luxurious, made up of tiny, fluffy clusters. The fill is very high loft, which means it is high quality and very warm per ounce. This is why you’ll find this duvet is very lightweight. Just a little bit of fill goes a long way in terms of warmth!
Opt for Regular Weight if your room temperature is around 19 – 21 degrees C or if you’re fairly warm when you sleep. All Season Weight is best if your room temperature is 16 – 18 degrees C or if you’re a cooler sleeper.

There are two main differences between these products. This duvet is made with 800 loft down, while the other is made with 850 loft down. Higher loft down is higher quality. While both of these duvets contain very high quality down, the 850 Loft duvet is slightly higher. The second difference is the species. This duvet is filled with duck down while the other is filled with goose down. Other than loft and species, these two duvets are the same in terms of warmth, weight, thread count and warranty period.

Fill Turbidity Turbidity testing measures the clarity of a sample of water filtered through the material. For material to be considered hypoallergenic, the bottom of the test tube must be visible through a 500mm sample of water at minimum.

My husband and I were wanting to get a nice bedroom set up after we got married this spring and after much deliberation decided to get the 800 loft down duvet. It was surprisingly light and flat when it came in the mail but man does it fluff up once it’s out of the package! After a few days it gets to its full state and it’s amazing! My husband sleeps hot and doesn’t like much for blankets on him in the night while I am always cold so I wasn’t sure if I would be warm enough with it feeling so light and he thought he’d be to hot since we got the all season weight. I don’t know how it does it but we are both at the perfect temperature at night! It just feels so luxurious and fluffy like a cloud sitting on you. It honestly feels like we just have a sheet over us yet somehow it’s kept me so cozy warm! We haven’t had it through a winter yet so I’m hoping it can cope with a central Alberta winter but with how it’s done so far on the nights with frost I’m sure it will be plenty warm. My old duvet I had for years was way heavier but somehow not as warm as this. We both absolutely love it and are so glad we decided to splurge on this treat for ourselves! It’s definitely worth the money and I’m sure we will have it for years to come!

When I first received the duvet I was a little bit concerned. It appeared to be quite thin and impossibly light, until I fluffed it up on my bed. Sleeping under the duvet was a dream! I have foot problems where any weight at all on my feet is extremely painful. The duvet felt no heavier than a bedsheet and yet I was able to stay blissfully cosy in a cold, drafty room. I can't recommend this duvet highly enough!
